Privacy of your health data and physical activity

Why this page exists separately

To use YouPlanFit you give us measurements of your body and data about how you move. That information is more sensitive than a name or an email address, and it deserves an explanation of its own instead of being diluted among the rest.

This page describes what we do today. It does not declare compliance with the law of any particular country: it describes the practice, so that you can judge it yourself.

1. What body and activity information we process

  • Your age and your biological sex.
  • Your height and your weight.
  • The girths of your wrist, waist and hips.
  • Your goal, your experience level, the days you can train and where you train.
  • Your daily activity level.
  • The workouts you log: sets, reps and loads.
  • If you connect Garmin, the strength sessions we import from your watch.

2. Where it comes from

From you. You type it into the diagnosis or log it as you train. We do not buy it, we do not infer it from third parties and we do not obtain it from other applications, except Garmin if you expressly connect it.

3. What it is used for

For one thing only: to calculate and show you your plan, and to adjust it as you log workouts. It is not used for personalised advertising, nor to build profiles for commercial purposes, nor to decide anything about you outside the plan itself.

4. What is stored and what is only calculated

We store your diagnosis answers, your workouts and what comes in from Garmin.

We do not store the calculated results — somatotype, estimated body fat percentage, calories, macros, waist-to-hip ratio. They are recalculated from your answers every time you open the plan. That is why an improvement to the engine reaches everyone without migrating anything, and it also means that deleting your answers deletes any possibility of rebuilding them.

If you take the diagnosis without an account, your measurements travel to the server to calculate the sample and are not stored anywhere.

5. What results are calculated

Basal metabolic rate, estimated body composition, estimated fat percentage, waist-to-hip ratio, bone structure, calories, macronutrients and the routine with its loads. They are all statistical estimates, not clinical measurements. See the terms.

6. Who can process it

  • Cloudflare — hosts the site and the database where this information lives.
  • Resend — sends the emails. It receives your email address and the text of the message, never your measurements.
  • Hotmart — processes payments. It receives nothing from the diagnosis.
  • Garmin — only if you connect it, and in the direction from Garmin to us.

7. It is not sold

We do not sell this information, we do not transfer it and we do not exchange it with anyone for commercial or advertising purposes.

8. It is not used for personalised advertising

Neither your measurements, nor your results, nor your goal, nor your level, nor your profile are used to target ads, here or on any platform.

9. What reaches Google Analytics and Meta, and what does not

Your measurements reach neither of them. Not your weight, not your height, not your waist, not your hips, not your wrist, not your exact age. Nor your workouts, your sets, nor anything imported from Garmin.

Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies: it receives usage events, and when a plan is generated these may include your goal, your level, your days, where you train, your sex, your age band (14-17, 18-29, 30-44, 45-49, 50-64 or 65+), the somatotype and the estimated calories. It is what lets us know which profiles use YouPlanFit and which ones carry on.

Meta, only if you accept advertising cookies: it receives general events — visits, sign-ups, checkout starts — and, once a purchase is confirmed, the amount, the currency, the transaction identifier and your email address transformed with a SHA-256 hash. Meta receives nothing from your diagnosis: no measurements, no somatotype, no calories, no goal, no level, no sex, no age — not even the band.

That hash does not contain your readable email address, but it is not anonymous data: it allows Meta to try to match it to an account of its own. We put it that way because calling it “anonymous” would be inaccurate.

If you decline cookies, nothing is sent to either of them, and your plan works exactly the same.

10. How to withdraw your consent

Write to us at hola@youplanfit.com and we will withdraw it. Withdrawing it means we stop processing those measurements to calculate your plan; without them there is no personalised plan to show, so the consequence is that your plan stops being available.

Withdrawing consent does not by itself delete what is already stored: for that, ask for deletion, in the next point.

11. Access, correction, export and deletion

Write to hola@youplanfit.com from your account email saying what you want:

  • Access — what we store about you.
  • Correction — you can redo the diagnosis whenever you like from the application itself, and that replaces your answers.
  • Export — we send it to you in a readable format.
  • Deletion — of your measurements, or of the whole account.

Today these requests are handled by hand. We confirm by email when they are done, and we will not tell you something is deleted until it is.

12. What happens to your plan if you delete your measurements

It disappears. The plan is not stored: it is calculated each time from your answers, so without them there is nothing to recalculate. It is an unavoidable consequence, not a penalty, and we prefer to say so before you ask.

Your logged workouts and your history are deleted too if you ask for the account to be deleted.
